I am so excited to invite you in to see my new work space! When my sign business first started I was working out of our unfinished garage. That was ok in the beginning, but as I got busier and needed to be working year round it was way too cold in the winter and way too hot in the summer to work in the garage. At the end of winter we decided to insulate and drywall the garage and finally make the garage an official shop for Vintage450. I need to be connected to the house for my kiddos so it just made sense to use the garage.

I can not tell you how excited I am to have my own space to create! Everything is already flowing so much better. I definitely have some catching up to do, but once I get caught up my turn around time on orders should be soooo much better!
Anyone that has ever worked in a wood shop, or been around one knows it’s a messy job! My hubby built this box around my saw to keep all of the saw dust contained. We also installed a dust collector. Never did I think I would be excited about a dust collector!! Haha! The rolling container under the saw is what I throw all of my scrap pieces in. No more cluttered counter tops!! 🙌

While this is almost exclusively my Vintage450 shop, it is still our garage so I came up with the Idea for storage under the workbench.  My husband brought the idea to life with these beautiful doors he built to cover our junk! 😊

This is my little kiddie corner. It was so important for me to have a space for my kiddos to create as well.  Also, I need them to be entertained if they are in the shop with me. :)

So far they have loved it! I’m pretty sure both girls have done homework out here every day. 💕

This sweet girls LOVES to be creative! There isn’t a day that goes by that she isn’t writing or making something, and that makes my heart so so happy! I tell her all the time she is going to take over my sign business when she gets older. 💗

It is awesome having a place that Bentley can get as messy as he wants! He is all about this little area as well. WINNING!

Last but not least... the crazy Great Dane needs a space in the shop as well.... I love quiet time working alone, but let’s be real...that just doesn’t get to happen very often so I try to keep my people/pets happy!
I remembered that we had an old crib mattress from my middle daughter, so I told my husband my idea for a bed fit for a giant dog, and this is what he came up with. We have an amazing balance! I come up with all of the ideas and he brings them to life!! ❤️
I still have that big blank wall to decorate and I am kind of thinking I may put a tv up there. My husband is far more likely to help me in the shop if a big game is on! ;)

There are so many special things about my shop, but these cabinets serve as the best reminder of all. My husbands grandparents had a home on this property that was torn down when they built the one we currently live in. Long story short, this set of cabinets was salvaged from the original farmhouse kitchen. This is the part that is so amazing to me and such an amazing reminder of simplicity. These were the only kitchen cabinets! She had one upper and one lower. That’s it!  Sweet simplicity. 💗 We always seem to think we need more.

This typewriter 😍 I almost died when we found this. It was my husbands grandmas and it still had the last piece of paper she used in it.  These kind of things are why I love antiques! I will always choose something with a story over something brand new. ❤️

I hope you guys enjoy the rest of the photos. I want to share as much as I can with you, because if it weren’t for you there would be no sign business. Thank you for your support and allowing me to create beautiful things for your homes and businesses!
