Well here we are... hopefully nearing the end of quarantine and the end of this Laundry room project!! This has always been the one room in our house that never really got a makeover when we moved in here. We have a concrete floor in this room so I didn't really want to tile over it I just wanted it to look nice and not have to spend a lot of money. Let me give you a piece of advice if you want this look and don't want to spend a lot of money then you better be ready to spend the time.🤣
This project (mostly the floor) just about did me in, but once I got started I was determined to see it through. I tried to stencil the floor first and it was a disaster. I had to sand off everything I had done (which thankfully wasn't a whole lot) and start over. The second time trying to get the pattern on the floor I decided to just stick the vinyl stencil directly to the floor and seal it to the floor with a whole bunch of clear coats. To my surprise it WORKED!! I am so in love with the end result and I would say it was well worth the time spent.
My husband built a beautiful cabinet for the antique sink and he got some MAJOR brownie points for that. I am seriously the worst at keeping the laundry caught up but I must say, it truly has made a difference doing laundry in a beautiful space!
We spend so much time at home... especially in our current situation and I think its so important to feel inspired and be surrounded by things that bring you joy.
